Well, not sure why, but this morning it seems like fun to think back and recall some of my past. Things like:
- The first CD I ever bought was the Star Wars Soundtrack
my freshman year at Purdue.
- I used to hang all the Sports Illustrated covers around my room, at the top of the wall like a border. Sheesh.
Larry Bird ruled man!
- A well off friend picked me up in her Dad’s Porsche and we drove to Nashville, IN just to pick up some biscuits and apple butter. As a teen, that was exciting and fun.
- I hit a fellow player head on playing in a football game in 8th grade and had a concussion from it. Later, after I was cleared it happened again in practice when my head hit the ground. Then after a lot of thinking I decided to try 9th grade football. Started as guard and in practice tackling drills, got smacked hard again. That ended it. It kind of stinks to be able to hit really hard, but knock yourself out doing it. :)
- I’m listening to the Les Miserables Soundtrack now.
- I became a Christian in early 1999 and was immersed a few years ago.
- I’ve been on mission trips to Cuba and Mexico. Hi Fidel!
- When my wife and I were married, we were NOT going to have children. We have one “almost 5 year old” boy now! AND it was planned.
- I love to climb trees, they just need to be strong ones now.
- I get poison ivy rashes really, really bad.
- Mosquito bites do not affect me at all.
- McCormick’s Creek State Park in Indiana, Perch Lake in the U.P. of Michigan, Crazy Horse Monument in South Dakota and Oregon are a few of my favorites places to visit. Of course, Disney World is a favorite, too.
- It was fun making my Pine Wood Derby cars
for Cub Scouts in my Dad’s workshop behind the basement stairs.
- My Grandpa made a miniature gun
that fired smaller bullets (like a miniature 45 that would fire the next bullet size or two down)
- God bless you!
